Headlines: Medikal To Contest For President.
In recent times, people in the entertainment setting has develop the interest in governance in their respective countries. Just recently American rapper Kanye West declared his intentions of becoming the United States president. In Ghana, the former Musiga president Obour joined the NPP and contested for their primaries election often though he lost. Other musicians have taken the step in becoming rulers of their countries.
Sowutuom based rapper Medikal has revealed that he will contest for presidency in the year 2040. He declared this on Twitter some hours ago. The rapper has surprised most of his fans and Ghanaians because no one expected him to say this. He has not been identified as a political musician as some of his colleagues have taken sides. Its still a mystery as to what informed him make that statement. Some of his fans believed he is talking about the presidency at MUSIGA, while others also believe he can actually become the President of Ghana.
The 'Omo Ada' hit maker has disclosed that he featured the controversial MP of Assin Central Hon. Kennedy Agyapong on his new album. Before Medikal featured Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, he became a fan of the legislator after they met at Oman FM in Accra. Their friendship started when the MP was on rant with what he termed 'exposé on fake pastors' on his TV station NET2 TV.
Medikal's relationship with Kennedy Agyapong might have influence his decision to contest for presidency. Kennedy Agyapong sometimes criticize his own party, so this might be a move to get rid of the NPP. Some of his fans warned him to be careful about politicians.
