Headlines: Over 5,000 Teacher Trainees Graduate,Set For Employment.
Over 5000 teacher trainees across the 46 College of Education in the country have graduated as they held their final examination today 3rd July 2020.
These trainees are the last batch of trainees offering Diploma courses at the College of Education. The Government, last few years ago turned all college of education into universities hence scrapping Diploma courses.
It could be recalled that, the President reopened schools for final year students to complete their respective examinations. The covid 19 halted academic activities for some months but due to the President's directive they have completed their course.
The final year trainees returned to their various campuses on 22 June and prepared for their final two Papers. They completed the exams today 3rd July, 2020.
In an interview with the Ex SRC president of Wiawso College of Education, Emmanuel Mensah he said " we are grateful to God for what he has done for us, it wasn't easy from level 100 to level 300. We thank the lectures for their time, energy, resources and everything, we are grateful.
We also wished those ( our mates ) that we lost on our journey, we say may their soul rest in peace. Now that we have completed, we are now looking forward for our National service postings and that of the Licensure Exams".
Their next step would be the National Service and after that, the write the Licensure Examination. Once they are through they begin to work as graduate teachers.
