The vice president, H.E Dr. Alhaji Bawumia on 31st March, 2020 launched Government of Ghana Online Scholarship  Application System for both first and Masters Degree Programs.                    

The website was opened on 1st April,2020 to the general public to receive application.                  

The application was supposed to close by the end of May, but it has been extended to 12th June,2020 to receive more applications.                                          

Below are the 4 easy steps to apply.    

1.Open the web address - www.scholarshipgh.com using your phone or laptop. It is advisable to use labtop.               

2.  Create an account to register.        

3. Complete the application form and upload your academic details like transcript, admission letter from your school and other relevant academic certificates.          

4. An online aptitude test need to be taken complete your application process.                            

If u pass the aptitude test successful, you will be scheduled for an interview at the district you chose. You are required to print and send a copy of your successful application to your chosen district office.

A Colombian transgender is expecting her first ever child with her other half has shared a heartfelt  picture of her kissing his eight- month baby.                       

Danna Sultana, who was born male and transgendered to female is expecting a baby boy with Esteban Landrau, who was born a female yet identifies as a man.                                                        

This came as a shock to many people because this is unprecedented and to some it is an abomination. The pregnant man was born a man but decided to turn into a woman.             

However, there have been many transgenders in the system but this one is weird as we have not seen a pregnant man before. This has caused uproar among the public.                                              

The pregnant man revealed that, a scan shows that, they are expecting a baby boy and he was very happy about the incoming baby as his first child.

The media has been silent on her past life especially her days at UCC. Many don't even know she went to university. This is so because, she was not a celebrity by then.                                                    

But her past should be know and more importantly draw a lesson from it to inspire others.                          Ahoufe patri went to UCC in the 2009, but for some reasons, she could not complete the four- year stay at the university. She could not even complete level 200.                                                           

This is due to a course she failed. She was asked to take a resit. Unfortunately for she couldn't meet the requirement if the resit, therefore leading her dismiss from the school.                     

Despite her dismiss from school for academic failure, the whole world knows her. This is a great lesson for those who have given up on education and believe that they have failed in life. 

Education is not always the way to success.

The man of God went on to say that, Ken. Agyapong and his station should not dare him else he (Obofour) will deal with Ken Agyapong physically and spiritually.   

                   But to the surprise of many people including me, last night Rev. Obofour released a snap video of himself trying to "cool" the temper of Ken. Agyapong. 

In the video he said, he had missed the Honourable minister and will find time to visit him in his FM station. 

He made many friendly resolute which was very surprising considering what he said earlier.                                          

 So the question is, is Rev. Obofour a coward?.

Founder and Leader of International Gods Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim has released photos flaunting $100 notes to celebrate his release from police custody.                            

From the pictures sighted by CIT!ZEN NEWS shows that the controversial pastor can not hide his joy after his release.                

On Tuesday, May 19 he was arrested and charged for false  publication of news. He was also charged for forgery of document which is contrary to sections 208 and 159 of the criminal and other offenses Act, 1960 ( Act 29) respectively.                  

He was subsequently granted bail to the tune of GHC 100,000.00 and other three sureties.                                                 He was released on Friday from police custody after meeting the bail requirements.

Rev. Obofour in a new video says Ken Agyapong should not try that ru****sh on him or else he will deal with him in a way Ken Agyapong would regret.             

  Obofour said that, he will deal with Ken Agyapong physically and spiritually, so if he thinks he is strong, he should just dare him and he(ken) will see where power lies.

Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has confirmed that government is not reopening schools anytime soon.                                                  

However, He explained that government is in consultation with stakeholders on the possibility of reopening of schools in case all restrictions is lifted.                                                    

According to him, the notion that government was going to reopen is wrong and misrepresented. He urged Ghanaians to remain calm as the government continues to hold consultations with stakeholders.                                       

" We have observed from media monitoring center that government says that schools are to reopen soon. With the greatest of respect, it is not correct. Government did not say that schools are to reopen soon. 

What we are saying is that consultation on what it takes to reopen schools is what we are currently engaged in", he clarified.

This was revealed in a statement released by management of Menzgold.            

The firm urged its disgruntled customers to cooperate with the the new arrangement.

Founder and leader of International Gd's Way Church(IGWC) Bishop Daniel Obinim, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service. Obinim has been charged with offences of publication of false news and falsification of documents.                 

He appeared at the Accra Magistrate Court on Tuesday and was granted a GHC 100,000.00 bail with three sureties. The case was then  adjourned to 1st June,2020.                  

In a released by the CID, Ms Juliana Obeng (DSP) indicated that, the arrest was made on a bench warrant issued by the Court.                                                       

"He has been charged with the offences of publication of false news and forgery of documents contrary to sections, 208 and 195 of the criminal and other offences Act, 1960 (ACT 29) respectively".                                         

According to the statement, Bishop Obinim was also under investigation for other offences leveled against him.

The university of Cape Coast is set to resume lectures on 24th June 2020 for its postgraduate sandwich students.                                 

This was revealed in statement released by the school which stated "all lectures involved in the  running of postgraduate sandwich programs that lectures are to resume on 24th June, 2020 and will run till 22nd August 2020".                                          

The sandwich lectures are however to be delivered online using the UCC E-learning platform which is in line the existing protocols and directives on social gatherings issued by the government and the management of the school.                     

The school entreated all lectures involved in the sandwich exercise to upload course materials on the E- learning platform.

Dr. Nsiah - Asare says Ghanaians should be happy as more covid 19 recoveries of about 1,500 patients waiting to be declared free from the virus.             

Ghanaians were shocked when covid 19 recoveries jumped up massively from 670 to 1,754 on Saturday with 1,084 new recoveries.                                             

This amazing increase in recoveries made some section of Ghana raising alarms and asking questions.                                  

 The aide to the former president John Mahama expressed doubts and asked for probe.            

But, Dr. Nsiah- Asare, a former Director -General of Ghana Health Service, said more recoveries are coming and described the recoveries on Friday and Saturday as tip of the iceberg.

 He said the recovery is a process not an event.

 The leaked video led to outrage of as people condemned her for disrespecting the uniform and the profession.                                         

The video got to the attention of Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association(GRNMA) and they have directed all district and regional executives to assist the nurse so that she can be disciplined.                                   

They went further to warn other nurses to desist from such "unaccepted behavior especially when in uniform in order to protect the dignity of the profession".

       He made this known in his address to the nation on the status of the coronavirus pandemic in the country. He confirmed that, 9 out of 13 patients who took the medicine has fully recovered.                             

He therefore, sent a message to the whole world that, the medicine they have been waiting for is in Africa. He further stated that he hated the corruption and ego in Africa that will not allow majority of African leaders to go for the Madagascar's covid organics.                                                

He added that, Africans will rather prefer the white man's cure than going for their brother's own.     

   Teodoro Obiang maintained that, even if the medicine was produced in Nigeria, African Leaders will not accept it.                    

Well, let's all hope that Ghana go for the medicine to reduce the mortality rate of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to sources, when the police got to his church premises, Obinim told them they(police) should give him 2 mins to change, so Obinim went to his room. Surprisingly Obinim came back saying he sick and was taken to East Legon hospital.

Senegal is easing coronavirus restrictions starting on Tuesday, including the reopening of Churches and Mosques.                    

Mosques are now open for Muslims for prayers during the holy month if Ramadan, and churches will also be allowed to receive worshippers.                       

   The night- time curfew has also been reduced by two hours and will now run from 21:00 to 5:00 local time.                                             

 Markets and businesses, which have only be allowed to be open a few days during the lockdown, will now only need to be closed for a day's cleaning each week.            

 In a late address on Monday, the president Macky Sall said that Senegalese people would need to "adapt individual and collective behaviour" and "learn to live with the virus".                            

The announcement came as the country recorded 177 new cases  on Monday, the highest jump in a single day since the first cases was recorded on 2 March.                    

 Senegal has so far recorded 1,886 coronavirus cases in total, including 19 deaths.                           

The new measures came amid a push to find a way to balance publy health with economic realities, with the virus causing loss of jobs and a slow down in activity in the continent.

A woman believed to be the oldest in Spain has recovers from the coronavirus, officials have confirmed.                             

Maria Branyas was diagnosed with covid 19 after the country was lockdown in March.                  

But after weeks in isolation, Mrs. Branyas, recovered having suffered only mild symptoms.           

It means the woman has lived through the flu pandemic of 1918-19, 1936-39 Spanish Civil war and the coronavirus.                

 " Now that she is well, she is wonderful, she wants to speak, to explain, to make her reflections, it is her again",* her daughter tweeted.                                 

Born in Mexico in 1907,she moved north to San Francisco two years later and arrived in the Catalan province of Girona during World War l with her Spanish Journalist father. She raised three children, one of whom recently turned 86- has 11 grandchildren- the oldest of whom is 60 - and 13 great- grandchildren.                                       

She has lived for two decades at a care home in the city of Olot.           

Speaking to La Vaguardia last year, she said: " I have done nothing but live".

The song which featured American singer Keri Hilson has received commendation across the internet and the whole world has been topping charts on digital streaming platforms.                        

As of today, Billboard has revealed the song 'nominate' as part of the World Digital songs sales on the platform. The song made it to the 19th position and it is expected to make a steady rise in the coming weeks.

The Ghana Association of Medical Herbalist has presented  a number of homemade medicines for Covid 19 to appropriate authorities for clinical testing.                                    

 According to Dr. Anthony Mensah, the association's president, they are currently waiting for the test results of their medicines.                                    

" The government through the Ministry of Health has contracted practitioners to submit several remedies that we believe would have a very good effect in our fight against Covid 19. "                                                     He said a number of submission have been made through the Ghana Federation of Traditional Medicine Practitioners.                       

The Ministry (of health) has also subsequently forwarded the same( medicines) to the Center for Plant Medicine Research for further testing. What we are waiting now is the outcome if the testing ", he said.                         

Dr. Anthony Mensah expressed hope that, these medicines will be up to the standard in fighting the virus.                                                 

 " Once these homegrown solutions that we are testing, what we believe is that it should be finalized and be finalized quickly so that we know the outcome of the same became we are very optimistic".

Dr. Frank Ankobea the President of Ghana Medical Association believes that Ghana can be like Wuhan in China if the preventive protocols are strictly observed by Ghanaians.    

                                    

According to Dr. Frank Ankobea, Wuhan has recovered from the pandemic because the residents adhered to the preventive protocols and the directives of practicing social distancing.            

  He said if Ghanaians would want to be like Wuhan then, they must follow the preventive protocols by the government.                            

 Speaking on Okay Fm's "Ade Akye Abia" show He said the president's directives and preventive protocols must be observed to fight the virus. The president said we should practice social distancing, wear nose mask, washing hands regularly under running water and the use if alcohol based hand sanitizer. Avoid touching of eyes, nose and mouth. Cover mouth with tissue or elbow when coughing which should be followed strictly.                                   

He appealed to the media to be aggressive in the awareness creation of the pandemic as he feared that the low number of cases at some places has made some Ghanaians wrongly believe that the virus do not exist.                                                      

He also stated " But let us continue to educate the public and create the awareness of the existence of the virus.... this is exactly what the people of Wuhan province did to avert an escalation of the situation in China; there was nothing magically about it..... simple obedience to protocols changed their situation. So, if we do same, we will be able to defeat the virus.
